Paw Pals

The strongest indicator of if someone will experience homelessness is a break in their support system. While human contact is essential, we believe that animals are an incredible way to rebuild trust and stability. When requested, we pair folks who are recently housed with dogs from Austin Animal Center. Contact us to set a neighbor up with our Paw Pals Program

Choosing a furry friend

We bring you to Austin Animal Center to meet with all the adorable animals looking for their furever homes. AAC is often at over 100% capacity. We understand that the experience can be overwhelming, so we offer a second visit if a break is needed. If your new bestie is not able to be brought home with you that day, we schedule a follow-up visit to pick them up. We help you submit necessary paperwork and security deposit to your landlord.

Transparency: any dog or cat we assist in adopting will be neutered or spayed before going home. Shelters in TX are consistently full and it is proven that dogs live longer, healthy lives.

Dog training

We offer positive reinforcement dog training. You must be available to attend lessons and commit to this training style. This includes but is not limited to: “sit,” “wait,” “stay,” “heel,” “come,” “lay down,” “drop it,” leash training, and crate training.

You must check with your landlord before contacting for this service. You are responsible for all costs associated with your animal. We can assist with donations and connecting to services providing care and resources. We are not responsible for any issues that arise from assisting someone in getting an animal, are not responsible for any medical bills, or the unfortunate event that an animal needs to be put to rest. Please be a responsible animal parent and treat them with love.
